If you have to learn only few phrases, learn these. They have unbelievable effect on people.
"I love you!"
"Thank you!"
"I am sorry"
"You look great!"
"I hear you"
"I care about you"
"You can do it"
"Great job!"
and even though it is not a phrase literally, learn to smile. smile can be a lot of phrases :)
